Wave Engineering provides noise consulting and measurement services for indoor and outdoor Shooting Ranges.

Our services include:

• Outdoor noise prediction, analysis, and contour mapping with Datakustik CadnaA software

• On-site noise measurements, indoors and outdoors, short-term and long-term monitoring

• Recommendations for sound isolation of indoor firing ranges, covering all noise paths including walls, floors, ceilings, and the ventilation system

• Consulting on the acoustic requirements of Air Force Engineering Technical Letter (ETL) 11-18: Small Arms Range Design and Construction. Measurements to verify compliance.

• Recommendations on site selection, layout, and noise mitigation (including firing line structures, barriers and berms) for outdoor firing ranges

• Develop testing protocols

• Verify compliance with state and local noise codes and ordinances
