Wave Engineering congratulates Iliana Schad on achieving INCE Board Certification!
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Iliana for achieving Board Certification from the Institute of Noise Control Engineers! Iliana passed an 8 hour test on noise control principles and practices and met other stringent criteria for work experience and qualifications. This is no small feat. Iliana joins Wave President Jeff Kwolkoski as one of only six INCE Board Certified professionals in Colorado and 137 in the United States, as of this post.
Becoming INCE Board Certified is a rigorous process that requires years of specialized education, hands-on experience, and a deep understanding of noise control engineering principles. It's a process that tests both technical knowledge and the ability to solve complex acoustic challenges. Certification is awarded only to those who demonstrate exceptional proficiency in
· Noise control techniques
Acoustic measurement and analysis
· Architectural acoustics
· HVAC noise
· Environmental noise studies
· Vibration
Iliana’s achievement is a reflection of her commitment to excellence in all of these areas, as well as her dedication to providing high-quality solutions for clients and communities alike.
The Importance of INCE Certification
INCE certification is an important benchmark of technical competence. It gives clients the confidence that their projects are in the hands of someone who is not only knowledgeable, but also up to date with the latest industry standards and best practices.
Board Certified acoustical engineers play a crucial role in a wide range of industries. Whether it's designing quiet offices, acoustic testing, mitigating environmental noise pollution, or ensuring the acoustics in a concert hall are perfect, these professionals are the unsung heroes behind the scenes, making the world a quieter, more efficient place.
What’s Next for Iliana?
Iliana did not waste any time further advancing her leadership in the field as she was recently elected by the INCE membership to the position of INCE Director. She will begin her three year term in October, 2025.
